This week was a stressful week. I had a lot going on throughout the week, so working out was an escape from all the chaos. However, there were a few adjustments to my workout this week. I had soccer practice all week and we ran a lot at practice so I was already getting 15 minutes of running. Then I would come home and go run a half a mile. Therefore, I was getting about 25 minutes of running all together. After I got home from running I would continue with my normal routine. If you have not seen my routine it is under the tab “Basic Routine.”
As stated in my purpose for this project one of my goals is to shave at least a minute off my mile time. I picked this as one of my goals because I knew it would help me in the long run. I knew if I was able to cut my time down I would not only be increasing my speed but I would also be increasing my endurance. However, I did not get the chance last week to run a mile and time it. I did run a mile this week and I was able to run it in less time than the last time I ran a mile. I believe this workout is genuinely helping and benefiting me. I have also been factoring in nutrition the last two weeks. Last week I ate the same thing for lunch everyday. For breakfast I have been drinking a protein shake every morning. For dinner I usually eat what my parents make and I write it down in a journal to keep track of it. I think choosing to factor in nutrition was a great idea because it is allowing me to meet my goal in a quicker manner. I lost 2 more pounds this week, I am getting closer to my goal! I have been debating increasing my goal, but I am not sure yet. I am trying my best and I hope you continue to follow my progress over the next 11 weeks!

This week was my first week of doing the project I had came up with. I set up my routine this week and figured out what was going to work best with my schedule. I also decided that I would be factoring in nutrition as well. I will need to eat healthy and maintain the workout in order to see progress. I also had a discussion with parents about how I am going to maintain this project over the next 12 weeks. They decided that they would play a role in my project as well. They have agreed to push me and keep me going every single day and to not give up on this project. We also discussed some ideas for my final project. However, I have not completely decided how I want to show my progress in the end. I was not able to workout every week day so I chose to workout on Saturday and Sunday as well. I kept track of the time it took me to do each individual exercise. I wrote this down into a notebook and I also typed it into my phone. Overall, it took me approximately thirty minutes to complete the entire workout. I checked my weight at the beginning of the week and over the time span of the week I lost two pounds. I am closer to my goal now and I am hoping to exceed my goal.
I look forward to continuing this project. I can not wait to see what the future of this project holds. It is going to be a challenging journey. |
